Our 40 years' experience in the pool market has been put to good use and we have developed, tested and proved software that accurately models energy consumption relating to pool air ventilation, pool water heating, building fabric loss and electrical energy consumption.

 

Swimming pools consume vast amounts of energy. In a typical mixed used leisure centre the swimming pool is responsible for 2/3rds of the whole building's energy consumption, (when it is performing properly), and it usually has a much greater impact when inefficiencies occur.

Our 40 years' experience in the pool market has been put to good use and we have developed, tested and proved software that accurately models energy consumption relating to pool air ventilation, pool water heating, building fabric loss and electrical energy consumption.

The application is quite complex and our software is similarly detailed to give us the accuracy we need to give an accurate energy consumption model. 

The impact of 21 key variables are considered for every individual hour in a year, including ambient temperature, moisture content, vapour pressure, operating conditions, backwash frequency, bather load variations, opening hours, fabric losses, pipe losses, adjoining areas, etc. etc.

We can benchmark current consumption, (and if necessary use an external organisation to validate the data), and make a comparison against the modelled energy consumption of our solution.

The Dantherm energy modelling software has been proved to demonstrate 2% accuracy against metered operation in a commercial swimming pool.
